BAGHDAD, October 28 — Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani received an official invitation from the Prince of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad, to participate in the Doha Forum. This invitation was extended during his meeting with Qatari Ambassador Sultan Mubarak in Baghdad on Sunday.
According to a statement from the Al-Sudani Media Office received by Network 964:
“The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the challenges facing the region, and the enhancement of mutual cooperation, including several memoranda of understanding in the fields of energy and investment.
The Qatari Ambassador delivered an invitation from His Highness the Amir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to participate in the 21st edition of the Doha Forum, scheduled to be held in December.
The meeting also included discussions regarding the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the worsening conditions there, as Israeli authorities tightened the siege on civilians and deprived them of their basic human rights.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized the necessity of coordinating Arab and international efforts and taking swift action to stop the aggression and open safe passages for humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. They are suffering under the oppressive blockade and living in deteriorating humanitarian and health conditions.”
