Expressing support for Palestine
Artists in Iraq hold exhibition in solidarity with Gaza
ANBAR, October 29 — Artists in Hit organized an art exhibition on Saturday to show solidarity with the residents of Gaza, held in the Al-Nawaeer Park. They painted the Palestinian flag on the faces of children and sang for Jerusalem.
Camera 964 captured images of children and youth participating in painting the Palestinian flag alongside the Iraqi flag.
The artists wore Palestinian keffiyehs, with the color red prominently featured in most of the artworks as a symbol of the Palestinian bloodshed. They also worked on painting the Palestinian flag on the faces of children.
Riyam Al-Dulaimi, one of the painters for Network 964, stated:
“We attended with a number of artists from the city to participate in the exhibition and express our solidarity with the people of Gaza.
The exhibition was not limited to displaying artworks; several poets recited poems on the Palestinian issue.
Several artists painted the Palestinian flag on the faces of children to instill love for this land in the hearts of the next generation.
The exhibition was organized through voluntary efforts, and they plan to hold more exhibitions because Palestine is our cause and the cause of all free people in the world.”
