Three killed, five injured in high-speed crash near Nasiriyah

DHI QAR — Three people were killed and five others injured Thursday morning in a high-speed collision near the western entrance to Nasiriyah, according to a local security source.

The crash occurred when the driver of a Chevrolet lost control due to excessive speed and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Dodge Charger.

“The Chevrolet driver lost control due to excessive speed and veered into the opposite lane, colliding with the Charger,” the source told 964media.

The impact killed three individuals at the scene and left five others injured, some in critical condition. The deceased were transferred to the forensic medicine department, while the injured were taken to Nasiriyah Teaching Hospital for treatment.
