Three-year-old struck and killed by car in Akre

DUHOK — A three-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in the central district of Akre, according to local health officials.

The incident occurred on Alaiy Street, where the child, identified as Arzhang Ayaz, was hit by a vehicle and died at the scene.

Nechirvan Fakhraddin, spokesperson for Akre District Health, told 964media that the child’s body was transferred to Akre Emergency Hospital but was already deceased upon arrival.

The body was sent to the Akre forensic medical unit and will be released to the family.
