Woman in intensive care after adverse reaction to injection in Shaways

ERBIL – A woman from Erbil’s Shaways neighborhood fell unconscious on Friday evening after receiving an injection at a local clinic, her family reported. The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m., and she remains under close medical observation.

Her brother, Mohammed Azzedin, told 964media on Saturday, “My sister was feeling unwell and went to a nearby clinic. A medical assistant gave her an injection, and shortly after, she collapsed with a severe physical reaction and lost consciousness.”

The woman is currently in intensive care at East Erbil Emergency Hospital, where doctors are monitoring her condition.

“We don’t know, and even the doctors are uncertain, about the type of injection she received. We’ve filed an official complaint and are hoping to quickly find answers,” Azzedin added, urging authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The woman’s condition remains under observation as her family seeks clarity and accountability for the incident. Authorities have yet to release an official statement.
