Central Bank to offer dollars at official rate to travelers at airports

BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq announced it will provide dollars at the official rate to travelers at airports starting July 14. Travelers can receive dollars at designated sites and banks within airports.

The official exchange rate is $1 to 1,320 dinars, while the non-official rate is nearly $1 to 1,500 dinars.

Iraqi travelers must first obtain a document from an authorized exchange company or bank before using it at airports to receive dollars, according to the Central Bank.
