Area's philanthropists contribute

Initiative distributes meat to Fallujah’s needy during Eid al-Adha

ANBAR – For the eighth consecutive year, Hussam Al-Azzami, a Fallujah resident, has organized an initiative to purchase and distribute a significant number of sacrificial animals to the needy during Eid al-Adha. This year, Al-Azzami oversaw the distribution of meat from over 70 animals through mobile teams across various areas of Fallujah and other parts of Anbar province.

Speaking to 964media, Al-Azzami said, “This initiative was carried out with the participation of some philanthropists and aims to help the poor and needy in Fallujah and beyond.”

Ahmad Waad, one of the beneficiaries, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We appreciate this humanitarian initiative that brings joy and happiness to the hearts of the poor and needy during the blessed days of Eid.”

It is customary for financially well-to-do Muslims to sacrifice livestock during Eid al-Adha and distribute the meat among low-income families.
