Iraq’s Sara Nadim wins Miss Eco Asia title in Egypt

NEWSROOM — Sara Nadim, 27, has won the Miss Eco Asia title at the Miss Eco International competition held in Cairo, Egypt. The global event brought together delegates from around the world and aimed to promote both tourism and environmental awareness.

Nadim’s pageant journey began a number of years ago. She was crowned Miss Erbil in 2017 and was a third runner-up in the Miss Iraq competition. Of both Kurdish and Arab ancestry, her recent victory adds another achievement to her portfolio.

“I still can’t believe I won the title; it feels surreal, like a dream,” Nadim said, expressing her excitement. “I need to sleep and wake up to make sure this is real.”

Since her Miss Erbil win, Nadim has engaged in various charitable and environmental initiatives, demonstrating her commitment to both environmental causes and community welfare.
