Collects donations to support needy families for the new school year at Babylon mall

BAGHDAD, September 3 — The management of Babylon Mall in the Mansour district of Baghdad organized an initiative to collect donations aimed at helping impoverished families with clothing, supplies, and gifts for children as the new school year begins.

The initiative seeks to gather clothing and toys, redistributing them among children from underprivileged families.

Mariam Mohammed, one of the donors, told Network 964:

“The initiative is conscientious, and its goal is to send a message to society that we are one hand, helping those in need, especially those who do not ask for help among the underprivileged.”

She added, “We are on the brink of a new school year, and many families do not have enough money to buy their children the necessary school supplies.”

Jafar Naji, the manager of Babylon Mall, stated:

“We launched this initiative a week ago, and it will continue for another two weeks, in conjunction with World Humanitarian Day.”

“We are a family-oriented mall, and we wanted to support families and children with donations of clothing and toys. These donations will be sorted and distributed to underprivileged families to bring smiles to the faces of children as the new school year begins,” he added.
