Central Bank of Iraq announces over $254 in currency sales

BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) announced on Tuesday its sales of the U.S. dollar amounted to approximately $254 million in one-day transactions, according to the official bank rate of 1,310 dinars.

The bank’s data revealed that total domestic cash withdrawals amounted to $30.97 million. Meanwhile, the total amount of transfers abroad, including remittances and credits, reached over $223.6 million, with the total sales hitting more than $254.6 million.
