Iraq’s central bank reports over $245 million in foreign currency sales

BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) announced on Tuesday its foreign currency sales amounted to over $245 million in one-day transactions, according to the official exchange rate of 1,310 dinars per U.S. dollar.

Data released by the bank indicated total cash withdrawals stood at $18.63 million while total overseas transfers, including remittances and credits, reached nearly $227 million. Total sales for the day were more than $245.6 million.
