22 detained in Sulaymaniyah for illegal entry

SULAYMANIYAH — Border guard forces in Sulaymaniyah detained 22 Pakistani nationals on Saturday for attempting to enter the country without official authorization from Iran.

According to a statement released by the First Border Guard Command, “The First Region Border Command successfully apprehended 22 Pakistani individuals attempting to unofficially cross the borders. The operation was conducted by a detachment from the Second Border Battalion of the Third Brigade in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate.”

This incident follows the arrest of 42 foreigners last week in the same area for trying to illegally cross the border from Iran.
