Dhi Qar land dispute ends in fatal shooting

DHI QAR — A security source revealed on Thursday evening that a conflict over agricultural land in Al-Tar, southern Dhi Qar, resulted in the fatal shooting of a man in his sixties.

The source informed the 964 network, “A 65-year-old man was fatally shot by a member of his tribe over a disagreement concerning agricultural land.”

Authorities have moved the victim’s body to the forensic department and launched an investigation into the incident. Additionally, a security force has been deployed to apprehend the suspect involved in the homicide.
