Two arrested in Baghdad tuk-tuk robbery and murder

BAGHDAD — Authorities in Baghdad arrested two individuals suspected of robbing a motorized rickshaw, known as a tuk-tuk, and killing its driver, the Baghdad Anti-Crime Directorate announced.

Following reports of the crime in the Sab’ Al-Bour district north of Baghdad, investigators identified and apprehended the suspects, recovering the stolen vehicle. “A preliminary investigation revealed the two individuals stole the tuk-tuk and fatally shot the driver,” the directorate said.

The suspects reportedly confessed during interrogation and were subsequently detained under Article 406 of the Penal Code, to face legal action.
