Suspected murder over land dispute
Two arrested in connection with killing Hadi Al-Amiri’s brother-in-law
BAGHDAD – Muqdad Miri, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, has announced that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder of Sabri Al-Amiri, brother-in-law of Hadi Al-Amiri, leader of the Badr Organization, following a land dispute in the Al-Anafasah area.
A statement provided to 964media indicates that Baghdad’s Rusafa Police Department has begun legal actions against the two suspects accused of murdering two men in the Al-Rashidia area, north of the capital.
Law enforcement is actively seeking other suspects involved in the incident, which took place inside a Land Cruiser, allegedly due to a disagreement over land in Al-Anafasah, Al-Rashidia. Additional information will be disclosed as the investigation unfolds.
