21 instances of alleged corruption

PM refers Muthanna governor to integrity commission

BAGHDAD, January 31 – MP Basim Khashan confirmed on Wednesday that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani has directed the Integrity Commission to investigate Ahmed Manfi Joda, the Governor of Muthanna. This action follows a committee’s report, formed after the Prime Minister’s visit to the province, which identified 21 cases of alleged corruption.

Khashan revealed in a tweet, “The Prime Minister referred the Governor of Muthanna to the Integrity Commission after an administrative probe by a committee established post his visit, based on a complaint citing 21 instances of corruption. I hope for a judicial ruling barring him from travel, ensuring verdicts are delivered in his presence, thereby enabling the state to reclaim misappropriated funds.”
