Fly Baghdad suspends all flights, ‘No refunds for customers’

BAGHDAD, January 25 – Fly Baghdad, an Iraqi airline, has announced the suspension of all its flights in adherence to the Iraqi government’s decision. This action follows the initiation of a joint committee investigation involving the airline’s CEO and management. The suspension remains in effect until the completion of the investigation.

Compounding the situation, Fly Baghdad has expressed its inability to issue refunds to customers for their cancelled tickets. The airline conveyed this through a statement, explicitly stating, “We regret our inability to refund for the cancelled tickets.”

This development comes in the wake of the airline and its CEO being placed under U.S. sanctions earlier this week, significantly impacting their operational capabilities.
