Canadian Embassy in Baghdad issues warning for citizens in Iraq

BAGHDAD, October 24 — The Canadian Embassy in Baghdad issued a warning to citizens in Iraq on Tuesday about the deteriorating situation in the country, advising its citizens to leave due to the “volatile, unpredictable, and dangerous” security situation.

In a post to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, the Embassy posted: “#Canadians in #Iraq – The security situation in the country can deteriorate without warning. Read our travel advice for more information: https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/iraq.”
