Head of civil aviation authority resigns for ‘overwhelming pressure’

BAGHDAD, January 9 — 964media has learnt that on Tuesday that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani accepted the resignation of Emad Abdul Razzaq Al-Asadi, the head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, from his position and appointed his deputy Amjad Kadhim Al-Jubouri as acting director.

This comes after the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Emad Abdul Razzaq Al-Asadi, requested his dismissal from the position due to what he described as overwhelming pressures exceeding his capacity. 964media obtained a copies of the resignation letter and the appointment of the new acting director.
