Central Bank of Iraq announces foreign currency sales exceeding $217 million

BAGHDAD, January 8 — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) said its foreign currency sales surpassed $217 million in one-day transactions at the official rate of 1,310 Iraqi dinars per U.S. dollar.

According to the bank’s data, total cash withdrawals amounted to $22,700,000, while the total amount of transfers abroad, including remittances and credits, reached $194,773,693. Overall sales amounted to $217,473,693.
