Military aircraft conduct fly-overs above Baghdad ahead of Iraqi Army Day
BAGHDAD, January 4 — The Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that army aircraft would conduct low-altitude fly-overs above Baghdad as part of field exercises for the 103rd anniversary of the Iraqi Army’s founding.
A statement from the ministry read:
Notice:
We draw the attention of our dear citizens that the aircraft of the Air Force and the Army Aviation Command will fly over the skies of the capital, Baghdad, at low altitudes to conduct field exercises in preparation for celebrating the 103rd anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi Army. You may hear the sounds of these aircraft as a result.
Therefore, we felt it necessary to issue a nofitication.
