Rain expected to begin Wednesday and continue through the week

BAGHDAD — Showers will move across parts of Iraq starting Wednesday and continue through the end of the week, the Meteorology Authority said Tuesday.

Tuesday will be mostly clear with some clouds in the central and south, and partly cloudy in the north. Temperatures will rise slightly from Monday’s levels, with cold mornings and nights and moderate daytime conditions.

Northwesterly winds of 10–20 km/h are expected in the central and southern regions, with light to moderate northeasterly winds in the north. Visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers but may drop to 5–7 kilometers during morning haze.

Chances of rain continue through Friday, with light to moderate showers forecast for scattered areas, particularly in the central and northern regions.
