Airstrikes hit PMF 51th Brigade positions north of Baiji

SALAH AL-DIN — Unidentified aircraft carried out two airstrikes Monday night targeting Popular Mobilization Forces 51th Brigade positions north of Baiji in Salah al-Din, security sources told 964media. No casualties were reported.

The strikes are part of a continuing pattern of attacks on Iran-aligned factions across Iraq since the U.S.-Israeli campaign against Iran began Feb. 28. Earlier this month, four PMF members were killed and 11 wounded in airstrikes in Qaim district, Anbar, with aircraft returning to strike again as fighters evacuated the wounded. Suspected strikes also hit Kataib Hezbollah positions in Akashat and sites in Jurf al-Sakhar, Babil. On Monday, fighter jets struck 30th Brigade’s headquarters in the Nineveh Plain, destroying weapons depots, with a PMF official blaming the United States for that attack.

Neither the United States nor Israel has claimed any of the strikes on PMF positions in Iraq.
