Iraq International Book Fair to open Wednesday with over 1 million titles
BAGHDAD — The sixth Iraq International Book Fair will open Wednesday at Baghdad International fairgrounds in Mansour, running from Dec. 3 to Dec. 13.
Organized by the Al-Mada Foundation, the event will host over 450 Arab and international publishing houses and showcase more than 1 million book titles, including hundreds of new releases for 2025.
This year’s edition is held under the theme “100 Iraqi Ns”, honoring what organizers described as “a hundred Iraqi women who contributed to building a century of awareness and creativity.”
A statement from Al-Mada described the event as “the country’s largest annual cultural event,” aimed at affirming Baghdad’s role as a “living center of knowledge.”
The fair will feature a wide program of cultural events, including lectures, panel discussions, book signings, art events, and contributions from official and cultural institutions.
“The exhibition space brings together books and creativity,” organizers said, “restoring Baghdad’s renewed cultural spirit.”
Doors will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the 10-day event.
