Four killed, two injured in Salah Al-Din road crash
SALAH AL-DIN — Four people, including two members of the same family, were killed and two others seriously injured Monday morning in a traffic accident on the road connecting Salah Al-Din governorate to the Dour district.
Mueyed Abbas, head of the Khurmatu Traffic Directorate, told 964media that “the accident occurred between a pickup truck and an Opel vehicle.” He said two of the deceased were related and that the injured remain in critical condition due to the severity of the crash.
Traffic accidents remain a major public safety concern across Iraq. According to data from the Ministry of Planning, traffic fatalities dropped by 10 percent in 2024 compared with the previous year.
