Dusty winds and cooler temperatures forecast across Iraq
BAGHDAD — Iraq’s weather agency forecast clear skies with scattered clouds in central and southern regions Saturday, while northern areas are expected to see partly cloudy conditions with a chance of light rain, especially over high terrain, according to a report.
Temperatures are expected to be similar to Friday’s readings, with a slight decrease. Moderate nighttime and early morning conditions will prevail, while mountain areas will remain cold.
Northwesterly winds ranging between 20 and 30 kilometers per hour will be moderate in most areas but are expected to become active in western Iraq, raising dust. Winds in other regions will be calm to variable in direction.
Horizontal visibility is expected to decline to between 3 and 4 kilometers in dusty areas due to airborne dust and pollutants.
