Iraq expecting hot daytime conditions with dust, mild temperatures at night
BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority reported on Saturday that daytime weather will be clear and hot in the central and southern regions, while northern areas will experience moderate temperatures. Nighttime conditions are expected to be mild across all regions, with cooler weather over mountainous terrain in the Kurdistan Region.
The report noted that temperatures in the central and northern regions will be close to each other, with a slight decrease of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day.
Northwesterly winds will blow at speeds between 10 and 20 kilometers per hour, strengthening during the day in the southern region and parts of the center. Wind speeds may reach up to 40 kilometers per hour, causing light dust, especially in desert areas.
Horizontal visibility may drop to between 5 and 7 kilometers in dusty areas, improving in the evening to a range of 8 to 10 kilometers.
