Hit Youth Forum holds drawing workshop for teenage girls in Anbar

ANBAR — The Hit Youth Forum held a one-day drawing course for girls aged 15 and older, aimed at using summer vacation time to develop artistic skills.

Trainer Wijdan Mokhlif told 964media, “We held a drawing course for children to invest their free time during the summer vacation, when there are no schools, and it is important to engage them in activities that develop their skills.”

She said the course introduced participants to drawing fundamentals and topics they enjoy, “such as cartoon characters and natural scenery,” adding that skills would be developed gradually with more varied subjects in future sessions.

Mokhlif noted that between 20 and 25 girls registered for the course, which is for girls aged 15 and above, while younger participants can join mixed classes. “We saw outstanding talents that only need support and guidance, and we hope these courses will continue and expand to schools in the future,” she said.

Hit Youth Forum Director Harith Sadiq told 964media the event was part of the forum’s commitment to “organizing activities and workshops that serve the community” and to “strengthening communication among participants and developing their skills.”

Participant Zumurrud Ahmed said the workshop “gave us a chance to learn drawing basics, improve our skills, and create an enjoyable interactive atmosphere among the participants.” She added that such activities are important for making the most of summer vacation “in ways that bring both benefit and enjoyment.”
