BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority released its forecast for Thursday and the coming days, predicting light rain and a slight decrease in temperatures across various parts of the country.
According to the report, Thursday morning will see partly cloudy conditions that will gradually clear in most areas. Cloud cover is expected to persist in the northern cities and the Kurdistan Region until nightfall, after which it will begin to dissipate. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is forecast in northern cities, with a chance of scattered showers in Baghdad, Salah Al-Din, and Diyala during the morning.
Temperatures are expected to decrease slightly in the northern and southern regions, while the central region will experience a more noticeable drop compared to Wednesday.
The report added that northwesterly winds will be moderate, ranging from 20 to 30 km/h, with occasional stronger gusts that may cause dust in parts of the central and southern regions.
Visibility is expected to decline to between 4 and 6 kilometers in dusty areas but should gradually improve by evening.
