Erbil to host handicrafts and traditional foods festival starting May 2
ERBIL — The Erbil Municipality announced it will host a weeklong festival celebrating handicrafts and traditional Kurdish foods in front of Shanadar Park, starting May 2, 2025.
The festival will feature participants skilled in painting, crafting, and preparing Kurdish cuisine, the municipality said.
Organizers have set up kiosks in front of Shanadar Park for the event. The municipality added that those interested in participating can register at the Erbil Municipality Presidency.
In recent months, Erbil has hosted similar festivals during Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr, and Newroz celebrations, which drew large numbers of residents and tourists.
