Man killed by nephew in Abu Ghraib over tribal land dispute, local source says

BAGHDAD — A man in his 50s was shot and killed by his nephew Sunday in the Al-Khudir area of Al-Radhwaniyah, within Baghdad’s Abu Ghraib district, a local resident told 964media.

“A young man in his twenties shot his uncle, who was in his fifties. He suffered a severe injury and died after being taken to the hospital,” the resident said.

Preliminary information suggests the killing was connected to a longstanding tribal feud involving a land dispute.

Authorities have not yet released an official statement on the incident.
