Man electrocuted while working in Duhok’s Akre district

DUHOK — A 39-year-old man died Saturday after being electrocuted while working in Istiryan village, part of the Bijil subdistrict in Akre district, according to local health officials.

The victim, identified as Asaad Omar, was killed at the scene, officials said.

Nechirvan Fakhraddin, spokesperson for the Akre District Health Directorate, told 964media that Omar was pronounced dead and his body sent to Akré’s forensic medicine department. After examination, it was released to his family.
