Baghdad Airport improves passenger flow with restoration of three jet bridges

BAGHDAD — Travelers at Baghdad International Airport can expect smoother boarding and disembarking experiences with the restoration of three previously inoperable jet bridges.

The General Company for Airports and Air Navigation announced the completion of the repairs on Monday, citing directives from the Transport Minister to prioritize efficient airport operations.

Dr. Abbas Omran Al-Bayati, Director-General of the airport’s management company, confirmed the return to service of the jetways following Minister Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi’s visit to the airport on Sunday. Per the Minister’s instructions, the company promptly addressed the issue, resulting in the full availability of all six jet bridges at the airport.

Al-Bayati further emphasized the company’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a strong presence within the airport and consistently striving for the highest quality of service, as directed by the Transport Minister.

The fully operational jetways are expected to improve infrastructure and passenger experience at Baghdad International Airport.
